Farm equipment doesn’t get an easy life.

It gets moved, knocked, filled, emptied, cleaned and used again.

That’s why, when choosing something as straightforward as a feeding trough, it’s worth looking beyond the dimensions.

The Platinum 8FT Ground Trough has a plastic body supported by a steel frame and is designed for agricultural feeding use with livestock including cattle and sheep. Platinum lists it for both outdoor and shed environments and highlights ease of cleaning as part of the design.

Before selecting any trough, consider the animals using it, available space, your feeding setup and how it will fit into the daily routine.

Sometimes the most useful farm products are simply the ones that make an everyday job easier to manage.
Looking at feeding equipment? Check the agricultural range or ask your local supplier about suitable options.

There’s a difference between selling a product and making it.

Platinum Tanks was founded in 2006 and manufactures in Lough Egish, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan.

Behind every product range is a team of 30+ people working across production, product development, customer service and the many steps that happen before a tank ever reaches a farm, home or commercial site.

That local manufacturing story matters.

Because when customers have questions, they’re dealing with a business that knows how the products are made and where they’re used.

Follow along for more from inside the Platinum Tanks factory.

💧 It’s Time to Think Differently About Rainwater

Every year, hundreds of thousands of litres of rainwater fall on our homes and properties — yet much of this valuable natural resource simply goes to waste.

As Patrick Cassidy, Managing Director of Platinum Tanks, explains, there is a simple solution: capture it, store it and put it to use.

Rainwater harvesting provides homeowners with a practical way to make better use of the rain that falls on their property, reducing reliance on mains water for suitable everyday uses.

At Platinum Tanks, we supply reliable rainwater harvesting solutions designed for Irish homes, with both above-ground and underground options available.

💧 Did You Know How Much Rainwater We’re Letting Go to Waste?

A typical 100 m² roof in Ireland can receive around 129,000 litres of rainwater in a year — and without a rainwater harvesting system, much of it simply runs away.

That’s a significant opportunity for homeowners looking for smarter ways to collect, store and reuse rainwater around their property.

For plumbing merchants, builders’ merchants, hardware stores and trade suppliers, it’s also a growing product category worth having in your range.

Platinum Tanks offers above-ground and underground rainwater harvesting solutions, backed by Irish stock and support.
