What happens after recycling? ♻️

At Shabra Group, recycling is just the beginning.

Used plastics are collected from homes and businesses, carefully sorted, and processed to ensure quality and consistency. Through cleaning, shredding, and refining, these materials are transformed into high-quality rPET - ready to become new packaging all over again.

It’s how we turn waste into a valuable resource and support a smarter, more sustainable future.

Together, we’re closing the loop for a cleaner, greener planet.

Did you know that what most people see as waste… is actually raw material in the right hands?

In the past year, over 10,907 tonnes of plastic bottles were reprocessed, the equivalent of 545 million bottles given a second life.

Alongside this, 2,926 tonnes of DRS material were recovered, and 837 tonnes of recycled plastic bags were produced, turning waste into over 10.6 million new LDPE bags.

This isn’t just an environmental win, it’s a shift towards a truly circular system, where materials are kept in use, not lost to landfill or incineration.

As regulations tighten and demand for recycled content grows, the ability to recover, reprocess, and remanufacture at scale is no longer optional, it’s essential.

Second Life. Not End of Life.

Recyclable vs compostable; they’re not the same.

Recyclable materials are designed to be collected, processed, and turned into new products.
Compostable materials break down into organic matter, but only under specific conditions.

Knowing the difference helps ensure waste goes into the right system, and actually delivers its environmental benefit.

Small choices in sorting make a big difference. ♻️🌱

Choose the right bin, every time.

Where efficiency meets responsibility ♻️

Plastics play a vital role in modern life — protecting goods, preserving food, and supporting essential industries. When properly collected and processed, they don’t become waste — they become valuable resources.

Every recovered plastic is an opportunity. An opportunity to reduce landfill, support sustainable manufacturing, and keep materials in circulation.
From safeguarding products to enabling new green technologies, plastics — when managed responsibly — are part of the solution.

Turning today’s waste into tomorrow’s solutions.

A decade of driving circularity ♻️

It’s fantastic to see celebrating 10 years of bringing together the recycling and manufacturing industry to drive innovation, collaboration, and real progress across the circular economy.

We were proud to exhibit at PRS Europe 2026 and be part of the conversations shaping the future of plastics recycling, sustainable manufacturing, recycled materials, and PPWR readiness across Europe.

Events like PRS Europe continue to highlight the importance of collaboration across the supply chain as the industry moves towards more sustainable, compliant, and scalable solutions.

Thank you to everyone who connected with the team throughout the event. We’re excited to continue supporting the transition towards a stronger circular economy.

What does it really take to turn flexible plastic waste into a new product?

LDPE bags begin their journey as a mix of post-consumer and industrial materials — including packaging films, labels, and other flexible plastics. These materials are carefully sorted, cleaned, and processed before being transformed into high-quality recycled pellets.
From there, they are remanufactured into durable LDPE products, ready to re-enter the supply chain.

This isn’t just recycling — it’s resource efficiency in action. By keeping materials in circulation and reducing reliance on virgin plastic, we move closer to a truly circular system where waste is redefined as value.

At Shabra Group, this process is at the core of how we approach sustainability — practical, scalable, and built for real-world impact.
