We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Yard Operative with forklift experience to join our growing team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting day-to-day yard operations, ensuring materials are handled safely and efficiently and the yard is kept organised and operational.

𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬:
• Operating forklift safely and efficiently
• Loading and unloading steel and materials
• General yard duties
• Supporting fabrication and transport teams as required
• Working on own initiative and as part of a team
• Adhering to all health & safety procedures
• Opportunity for training, upskilling and career progression

𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:
• Valid forklift licence and forklift experience
• Previous experience in a yard or construction environment desirable
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

This Sunday 24th of May , Nadine O’Neill - one of our Steel Detailers & Estimators at Leonard Steel, will be taking part in the Cancer Research UK Race for Life 10K in memory of her beloved aunt who sadly passed away in January this year.

Nadine is running to honour her aunt’s memory while raising funds for a cause that helps support vital cancer research and saves lives.
