KAPP hefur ákveðið að loka þeim kafla í sögu fyrirtækisins sem snýr að móttöku og viðgerðum á bílvélahlutum.

Frá og með 1. maí 2026 höfum við hætt móttöku og viðgerðum á heddum, blokkum, sveifarásum, knastásum og sambærilegum hlutum.

Þetta eru kaflaskil í sögu sem nær aftur til ársins 1929, þegar fyrirtækið Egill Vilhjálmsson hf. var stofnað sem bifreiðaverkstæði og varahlutaverslun. Þessi starfsemi þróaðist síðar og varð hluti af því fyrirtæki sem KAPP er í dag.

Við viljum þakka öllum þeim sem hafa treyst okkur fyrir verkefnum sínum í gegnum áratugina.

Með þessu hyggst KAPP skerpa á starfsemi sinni og halda áfram að byggja á sinni löngu sögu með áherslu á þjónustu, tækni og lausnir fyrir sjávarútveg, fiskeldi, matvælaiðnað og annan iðnað.

KAPP and Matorka have signed an agreement for a new flake ice machine for Matorka’s Arctic char processing in Hafnarfjörður.

The new solution will help strengthen cooling performance, improve handling of raw material, and support efficient processing.

We are proud to continue our long-term cooperation with Matorka and support their operations with reliable technology built for demanding food production environments.

The agreement was signed in Barcelona.

KAPP á Skrúfudeginum 2026

Skrúfudagurinn hjá Tækniskólanum tókst afar vel og það var frábært að sjá hversu margir lögðu leið sína á viðburðinn.

Mikil stemning var á bás KAPP þar sem gestir á öllum aldri kíktu við. Við hittum verðandi, núverandi og fyrrverandi vélstjóra, tæknimenn og aðra áhugasama. Líkan af RoteX-skrúfunni vakti mikla athygli, ásamt myndböndum af starfsemi KAPP.

Við erum líka stolt af því að styðja við tæknimenntun á Íslandi. Á síðasta ári gaf KAPP Tækniskólanum sérhannað CO2-kolsýrukennslukerfi sem nýtist í kennslu og verklegri þjálfun nemenda. Kerfið veitir nemendum mikilvæga innsýn í nútímalega kælitækni, virkni hennar og rekstur kælikerfa.
