Remote-controlled mowing drew a crowd at GroundsFest for a good reason. It gave visitors a chance to discuss real sites where access, difficult ground and operator distance can change how the job needs to be approached.

The AS-Motor line-up put those questions in front of the machines, with our UK team on hand to explain the differences and listen to the details behind each application. Ariens Zero-Turn mowers completed the stand for customers dealing with large lawns, frequent turns and obstacles.

Two brands, very different mowing challenges and plenty of useful conversations for the AriensCo EMEAA team to take away from the show.

The best GroundsFest photos are rarely the machines standing on their own. They are the moments around them: a cover opened, a control explained and a visitor describing the ground they actually need to maintain.

That was the focus for the AriensCo EMEAA UK team throughout both days. General Manager Sam Lewis joined Area Sales Managers Dominik Knights, Michael Groves, Michael Parslow, Will Bryan & Brian Turvey to cover the full picture, from Ariens Zero-Turn mowing to AS-Motor high-grass and remote-controlled solutions.

Thank you to everyone who stopped for a conversation. The details shared beside the machines are what turn a show stand into something useful.

The AS-Motor AS 940 Sherpa 4WD is standing in for the wheelbarrow here, as .df moves a trailer load of soil across a fairly serious slope.

Jobs like this are often defined by the distance between the pile and the place where the material is needed. Load, push uphill, tip, walk back and repeat. In these photos, the ride-on mower handles the journey between mowing jobs, with hydrostatic transmission allowing the speed to be adjusted smoothly to the ground.

A practical solution on a day when grass was clearly only one item on the list. It certainly beats pushing every load up by hand.

For transport work, always use approved attachments and observe the stated load limits and operating instructions.

You learn more about a machine on the slope than in a meeting room. 🇦🇹🤝

Our long-standing Austrian import partner Hochfilzer visited the AriensCo site in Bühlertann with Managing Director Ronald Hrnecek & the sales team. Hochfilzer represents both Ariens & AS-Motor in Austria and has worked closely with us for decades.

Roman Mühleck, Product Marketing Manager AriensCo EMEAA, welcomed the group and demonstrated the latest products in the field. The AS 990 Tahr RC took centre stage: inspecting the machine, discussing the technical details & seeing the remote-controlled mower working directly on the slope.

Thank you to Ronald & the entire Hochfilzer team for the visit, the valuable discussions & the long-standing partnership. Product knowledge grows when theory meets real working conditions. 🌿

100 kilometres of railway line. Every unnecessary turn adds up. 🚆🌱

A Swiss contractor maintains several sections of the SBB railway network. The flail mower previously used for the job caused considerable damage to the sward through its spiked rollers & flails. A different solution was needed for this application.

Agria Landmaschinen AG brought the AS 990 Tahr RC to a railway embankment for a field demonstration. The remote-controlled rotary tracked mower cuts in both directions, without turning at the end of every pass. On long, linear areas, the workflow keeps moving while the machine delivers a clean cutting result.

“On the SBB embankment, the AS 990 Tahr RC showed what it can do under real working conditions. Bidirectional mowing is a strong fit for long sections because the machine can continue without turning manoeuvres. The clean cutting result, service-friendly design & short distance to our workshop complete the package. That combination convinced us.”

The recipe for steep slopes & rough terrain? An AS 901 SM, our “Hochgras-Mäher-Mann” shirt & a local master baker who knows how to get the job done. 👨‍🍳🌿

These photos were sent to us by a master baker from our region. In front of him is no manicured lawn, but a steep, uneven slope covered in tall grass & scrub.

A fitting job for the AS 901 SM: the flail mower works through coarse growth and follows the uneven ground. The photos show the result clearly, as an overgrown track becomes a cleanly mown area again.

The AS-Motor AS 940 Sherpa 4WD has finished with grass for the moment. .df has a bundle of timber to move, so the next job starts before the mower has made it back to the shed.

It is one of those images that captures real outdoor work perfectly. Plans change, materials need moving and the machine already on site often finds itself involved.

Was this in the morning schedule? Probably not. It made a great UGC shot, though.

For towing and transport tasks, use approved attachments and follow the specified load limits and operating instructions.

The competition came for a closer look. 🐑

During an AS 1000 OVIS RC demo at a solar farm, the resident mowing crew gathered around the machine. Apparently, even our competitors think the OVIS’ is worth a closer inspection.
