T4i al Festival Donne fra le stelle ODV! 🚀

Domani, 16 ottobre alle ore 10:45, la nostra COO Elena Toson interverrà alla Tavola Istituzionale "Realtà industriali e prospettive", partecipando come delegata di AIPAS - Associazione delle Imprese Per le Attività Spaziali.

Il panel, moderato da Mariapia Ebreo, affronterà il ruolo strategico delle filiere territoriali e delle reti associative nello sviluppo della Space Economy italiana. Today marks the end of a fantastic experience at the International Astronautical Congress. For the T4i team, these have been extraordinary days of networking, exchange, and sharing insights on next-generation propulsion technologies.

What does it take to power the next generation of autonomous satellites? 🛰️
As part of (Cognitive Reconfigurable Satellite), we are developing the propulsion subsystem that will support the satellite’s key orbital maneuvers.

Following the mission analysis carried out with the consortium, the REGULUS-150-I2 electric plasma thruster was selected to perform essential operations—from altitude changes to station-keeping.

The project has now entered the core of the activities: our team has successfully tested the propulsion system mock-up that will be integrated into the flatsat, bringing T4i’s technology into the project’s validation environment with a fully representative module.

Back at for the ESA Industry Space Days! 🚀

It is always a pleasure to return to ESTEC, reconnect with long-standing partners and friends, and meet new people from across the European space community.

This year also had a special connection for us. Looking at where our cold gas technology stands today, it is great to remember that IANUS was developed together with ESA - European Space Agency team — a collaboration that contributed to shaping a technology that is now part of T4i’s propulsion portfolio.

The week was also an opportunity to actively contribute to the conversation, with our Marketing & Sales Manager, Fabiana Milza, joining the panel “European SMEs: Powering Innovation, Competitiveness and Growth” to share T4i’s experience and perspective on the role of SMEs in the European space ecosystem.

A few intense days of discussions, new ideas, familiar faces and new connections. Thank you to ESA and everyone we met this week — always good to be back at ESTEC.

🌌 See you at the ESA Industry Space Days!

On September 16th, the T4i team will be at ESTEC for the ESA - European Space Agency Industry Space Days, one of the premier events for the European space industry.

We strongly believe that SMEs are the true engine of space innovation. This topic will be right at the heart of Day 1, where our Marketing and Sales Manager, Fabiana Milza, will be joining as a speaker on the panel "European Space SMEs: Powering Innovation, Competitiveness and Growth", taking place at 14:30 in Conference Hall A.

It will be a valuable opportunity to highlight the contribution of European space SMEs to ESA programmes and to the wider European space ecosystem.

We are pleased to contribute to the development of the future EcoStar concept, together with New Horizon as Prime Contractor and Tyvak International.

Building on the technical and environmental results of the IT SHINES feasibility study, the project aims to mature an integrated set of ecodesign solutions on a flight-proven small-satellite platform. The goal is to support the definition of a credible EcoStar product line and pave the way for a future in-orbit demonstration.

Within the consortium, T4i is responsible for consolidating the iodine-based propulsion solution: our work builds on the integration activities initiated during previous phase, ensuring compatibility with mission requirements and providing the relevant design and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) inventory data to contribute to the project’s integrated ecodesign assessment.

A collaborative effort towards more sustainable, reliable and high-performing small-satellite solutions.

🌍 Pushing space propulsion into new orbits! 🚀

We are proud to be part of the consortium led by Officina Stellare for the EarthNext project, supported by the Agenzia Spaziale Italiana.

Together with a team of Italian industrial and academic excellence (Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, TSD-Space, AIKO, Planetek Italia), we will work on developing a 16U CubeSat for Earth observation in Very Low Earth Orbit (VLEO).

⚡ At T4i, we will do our part by providing the electric propulsion system for atmospheric drag compensation—a key technology to enable long-term presence and operations in very low orbit.

Congratulations to the entire team and to Officina Stellare for this major milestone! 👏

Officina Stellare has signed a new contract with the Agenzia Spaziale Italiana(ASI) for the programme, reinforcing its role as a trusted partner in the development of advanced space missions and next-generation Earth Observation technologies.

As prime contractor, Officina Stellare will lead an all-Italian consortium in the development and in-orbit demonstration of an innovative Earth Observation platform operating in Very Low Earth Orbit (VLEO).

"The award of EarthNext is an important recognition of the expertise that both the market and institutions attribute to Officina Stellare in the development of integrated space solutions. We are grateful to the Italian Space Agency (ASI) for the trust placed in out Group and in the consortium. This project allows us to contribute to a new frontier of Earth Observation, demonstrating how innovative technologies, onboard autonomy and operations in Very Low Earth Orbit can generate high-value applications for institutional and commercial users", commented Gino Bucciol, Head of Strategy of Officina Stellare Group.

Small Satellite Conference 2026 was truly incredible! 🚀

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our Booth, as well as to all our current and future partners. The excitement around our flight-proven, green in-space propulsion systems was inspiring—a great sign of the growing interest in what we’re building here at T4i!
