The technical vocabulary of eCoils: Coil

A coil is a metallic substrate in aluminum (or steel) supplied as a coil-wrapped tape.

It is the starting point of the continuous painting process during which the tape is rolled, chemically treated, varnished and rewinded in a single automated cycle. 🔍

This process is called Coil Coating, the continuous industrial coating. 🤓
❓Why paint “before” the roller transformation❓
✅Because the pre-painted metal maintains complete workability, it can be bent, profiled and printed without the coating cracking or coming off.
✅Because the protection is integral, the surface treatment takes place on the entire surface of the tape, ensuring superior corrosion resistance compared to post-processing painting.
✅Why aesthetics become functional: anti-scratch, antibacterial, reflective finishes for energy saving or textured wood and stone effect.

Perché verniciare “prima” della trasformazione del rotolo?
✅il coil coating prevede una verniciatura del materiale metallico prima della sua lavorazione finale.

DJ Bionic on stage at the Arena of Verona for the Paralympics

Tonight at the Arena of Verona the opening ceremony of the Milan Cortina 2026, Paralympic Winter Games, live on Rai 1 from 20:00. 📺

Among the artists who will perform there will also be Dj Bionic, for the eCoils team Michele Specchiale, to whom we wish good luck 🍀

Today Michele is the only DJ in the world to mix with a bionic hand, which allows him to stay behind the console and do what he loves.

The theme of the ceremony is Life in Motion: life as change and transformation. An idea that also describes his course.
