𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗲: 𝗪𝗵𝘆 Δ𝗧 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. 🌡️📈

A substation is only as efficient as its 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲. When Δ𝗧 starts to drop, pumping costs increase, heat transfer becomes less effective, and the entire district energy network suffers.

𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗳𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹 is no longer an option, it's the foundation of an efficient substation.

The Problem: 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 𝗥𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 "𝗕𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗱" 📉

Water returns to the grid too hot, and you end up paying for pumping energy that never reached the consumer.

The Solution: 𝗶𝗦𝗠𝗔 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗜 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗲 🧠🛡️

We’ve moved the 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 directly to the point of heat exchange. The Energy Valve acts as the "𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻" of your substation, solving the regulation gap with advanced technology:

✅ 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: The Energy Valve uses high-resolution pressure sensors to calculate the actual flow in real-time.
✅ 𝗘𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗱𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗢𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗹𝗴𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗺𝘀: Featuring native Δ𝗧 𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, the Energy Valve doesn't wait for a command from the BMS. It autonomously analyzes supply/return data and throttles the flow the moment it detects a drop in exchange efficiency.
✅ 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗩𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿: With integrated temperature sensors, the Energy Valve provides onboard thermal power (𝗸𝗪) and energy (𝗸𝗪𝗵) metrics. You get full analytics without the need for additional, bulky hardware.

We are thrilled to share one of the first applications of the new iSMA CONTROLLI -IP controller, successfully commissioned in a modern office building in Gdańsk, Poland.

In this project, our long-term partner Marcin Ożarowski from Proxit Sp. z o.o. completed one of the first real-life UAC28-IP field implementations in a commercial building.

The controller is used to manage a cooling station and is extended with the I/O expansion module. It handles local control logic, processes signals from the installation, communicates with field devices, and supervises key components of the cooling system.

Scope of the application:
✅ Control and supervision of the cooling station.
✅ Integration with the chiller.
✅ Pump and control valve operation.
✅ Temperature measurement and process monitoring.
✅ Handling of chiller status signals.
✅ Technological safety and protection functions.
✅ I/O expansion with the MIX38 module.
✅ nanoWebUI™ – a scalable, browser-based user interface for process visualization.
✅ Free cooling functionality to optimize system operation when outdoor conditions allow it.

The application also supports free cooling, allowing the system to use favorable outdoor conditions and reduce compressor operation whenever possible.
