At Nemo’s Garden, we are constantly asking: what could we do better?

This underwater biosphere was one of the ideas we explored in an earlier project. A different shape, a different approach, and another opportunity to learn.

Not every idea becomes the next version of Nemo’s Garden. But every one helps us understand what works, what can be improved, and what new possibilities are worth exploring.

Because growing underwater is still a journey of discovery.

We keep testing, learning and developing new ideas to make Nemo’s Garden better, more efficient and more sustainable. 🌱🌊

And who knows what the next idea might look like?

As summer comes to an end, we find ourselves reflecting on the months that have passed beneath the surface.

Hundreds of plants planted and harvested. New visitors welcomed. New friends made, including a few with fins. 🐟 And countless moments of learning, improving and moving Nemo’s Garden forward.

For a moment, Luca simply takes it all in. The gardens, the progress, the memories, and everything that still lies ahead.

There are always new ideas to explore, things to improve and dreams waiting to take shape.

And perhaps that is what makes Nemo’s Garden so special. There is always something growing beneath the surface. 🌱🌊

Here’s to everything we’ve grown, everything we’ve learned, and everything still to come.

🌊 Taking communication to new depths.

What if your next live interview took place underwater?

During the Smart & Sustainable Marina Rendezvous in Monaco, Nemo’s Garden demonstrated how our underwater technology can create unique opportunities for live communication and immersive experiences.

While the event was taking place in Monaco, Emilio (.mancuso.1979) connected live from inside one of our Biospheres in Noli, Italy, offering participants a real-time view of the underwater environment and the plants growing inside our Biospheres.

Through our technology, we brought the underwater world directly to the audience, showcasing not only our innovative approach to underwater cultivation, but also the possibilities of connecting people with environments they would otherwise never experience firsthand.

A live interview, an underwater view and a whole new perspective on what technology can make possible. 🌱

Summer in Italy means long days, bright sunshine and, this year, plenty of heat. ☀️

While high temperatures can make growing on land more challenging, Nemo’s Garden explores what happens when you move cultivation beneath the surface.

Just off the coast of Noli, our underwater biospheres are surrounded by seawater, creating a different and more stable growing environment for the plants inside.

And Nemo’s Garden is not far away at all. The biospheres are just 50 metres from the shore.

So if you’re visiting Noli, you can simply swim out, snorkel or dive and discover Nemo’s Garden from above the water. 🌊🤿

🌊 A few inspiring days in Monaco!

Nemo’s Garden was proud to take part in the Smart & Sustainable Marina Rendezvous, joining an inspiring community of innovators, industry leaders and ocean advocates exploring the future of sustainable marinas and our relationship with the ocean.

We are especially delighted to have received the Coup de Cœur in the Innovation category, a wonderful recognition of our vision to explore new ways of growing food in harmony with the sea. 💙

Beyond the award, what made these days truly special were the conversations, new connections and exchange of ideas with people approaching sustainability from different perspectives.

A heartfelt thank you to the organizers, the jury and everyone who made this event such a meaningful experience.

The future of our oceans is shaped by collaboration, curiosity and bold ideas. We’re excited to keep contributing to the conversation and turning ideas into action.

Back to work, with plenty of inspiration and new ideas to grow! 🌱🌊

Over the years, Nemo’s Garden has become home to much more than plants.

Fish and all kinds of marine life have found shelter around the biospheres, making the Garden part of their underwater world.

So when you visit Nemo’s Garden, remember that you’re a guest in someone else’s home.

👀 Look, but don’t touch.
🐟 Give marine life some space.
🏠 Don’t hang on or push against the structures.
📷 And keep your hands and cameras out of the biospheres — they’re sealed research environments.

It’s one of the things we love about Nemo’s Garden: something created for underwater cultivation has also become a place where marine life can find shelter. 🌊

What do you see? 👀

Over the years, we’ve heard people seeing Nemo’s Garden for the first time describe it as everything from:

👽 An alien base
🚀 A space centre
🪼 Giant jellyfishes

And honestly… we can kind of see it. 😉

It certainly has a different look.

But what do you think the world’s first underwater cultivation of terrestrial plants looks like?

Looks like harvest time. 🌿

But what happens to the plants once they’ve reached this stage?

At Nemo’s Garden, every harvest is also an opportunity to learn. We collect and study the plants through research and analysis, looking at things like essential oils, antioxidants and polyphenols.

And then we explore what these plants can become:

🌱 Food — from fresh basil to pesto and other culinary creations
🧪 Research — exploring plants and their active compounds for potential pharmaceutical and cosmetic applications
🍫 Sensory products** — like our limited-edition Aroma of the Sea herb-infused chocolate pralines

So when you see a biosphere full of basil, you’re not just looking at a harvest.

You’re looking at the beginning of the next experiment. 🌊
