It’s been a busy start to the year that’s for sure!
I often arrive onsite to jobs like this and expect the unexpected. With the Hilux full of tools to cater for most scenarios relating to a seized shaft, castle nut and a super stubborn off-set hitch removal ….
It was the car jack that proved itself, untill it sheared off internally. With the dark quickly rolling in I had no choice but to call it off.
Day 2 involved more heating, banging, welding, pumping, sweating and appreciating the peaceful atmosphere of farm life in between all the noise.
Towards the end the farm hand came over to assist in lifting the heavy equipment off with his tractor and also to hang off a pair of steelsons while I levered off another part in the opposite rotation.
Team work makes the dream work 👌
A quick buff & sand with the grinder and coating of WD to keep the rust at bay.
Job done
Cheers to Nuts about bolts for their second to none service which involved delivering tooling to the job site on the double.
