Biomedical engineers are the backbone of healthcare technology, yet their academic training often focuses heavily on the technical aspects of medical devices, leaving a gap in organizational Management and regulatory compliance. This intensive 5-day online workshop is designed to bridge that gap. By introducing core management principles, healthcare technical standards, BME department operations, and the specific context of Lebanese Hospital Accreditation, this workshop equips future biomedical engineers with the leadership and administrative tools required to manage assets, comply with regulations, and drive organizational efficiency.
What to Expect:
• Strategic Insights: Understanding how a hospital operates as a holistic business and clinical ecosystem.
• Regulatory Competency: Deep familiarity with what auditors (like the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health/Accreditation bodies) look for.
• Managerial Vocabulary: Learning how to speak the language of hospital CEOs, quality managers, and clinical directors.
• Practical Templates: Exposure to real-world BME policies, inventory logs, and Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules.
What NOT to Expect:
• Hands-on Repair Training: This workshop will not teach you how to calibrate or fix a specific ventilator or MRI machine at a component level.
• Immediate Certification: You will receive a certificate of attendance, but this does not replace official clinical engineer or ISO auditor certifications.
• In-depth Medical Training: We will discuss hospital services, but we will not cover clinical or medical procedures.
