Strengthening Regional Energy Dialogue in Brunei Darussalam
From 7 to 9 April 2026, Beicip-Franlab Asia (BFA), led by Mohamad Othman, VP (Asia), Strategic Ventures & Growth, undertook a series of strategic engagements in Brunei Darussalam as part of our continued commitment to supporting regional energy progress through technical dialogue, capability development, and trusted partnerships.
Across the visit, BFA engaged with key stakeholders from Brunei Shell Petroleum, the Petroleum Authority of Brunei Darussalam, the Prime Minister’s Office, Brunei Energy Services & Trading (BEST), PETRONAS Carigali Brunei, and Hibiscus Petroleum Brunei. These discussions covered areas including subsurface studies, development strategies, capability building, technical collaboration, and knowledge exchange in support of a resilient and forward-looking energy sector.
The visit also reflected the importance of sustained engagement across industry and institutions. In a sector shaped by basin maturity, technical complexity, and transition, constructive dialogue remains essential to enabling sound decision-making, strengthening readiness, and unlocking long-term value across the energy ecosystem.
At BFA, we believe regional progress is built not only through technical excellence, but through relevant collaboration, practical insight, and long-term commitment to industry development. Our Brunei engagements reflect this approach and reinforce our role as a trusted regional partner in transforming subsurface complexity into strategic value.
