Team Namibia for this year’s First Global Competition in Incheon, South Korea.
It was an experience unlike any other and we are incredibly proud of them for representing their country! Definitely an experience they will carry throughout their lives.

The word of the week is ACTUATOR.

A device that causes a machine or other device to operate.

Every robot starts with a detailed look. We build it, break it, then rebuild it better – because that’s how real engineering happens. And none of it happens alone: it’s young minds figuring things out together.

We scanned the interior of a Nissan Silvia, then captured a full 3D scan of the 8HP shifter that’s being swapped into it.

The goal? Use the scan data to accurately design the mounting and integration around the Silvia’s original interior ,making sure the final setup fits properly and looks like it belongs there.

This is where 3D scanning, CAD and custom fabrication come together.

Stay tuned to see how the final result turns out. 👀

Got questions? We’ve got answers.

We put together some of the questions we get asked most about GRC STEM Academy, including who can join, what you’ll learn, and what to expect.

If we didn’t answer your question, leave it in the comments or send us a DM. We’re always happy to help.

We had an amazing time visiting IA Academy!

Our team showcased some of the robots we’ve built for the First Global Challenge and introduced students to different technologies like robotics, 3D printing and virtual reality. They also got the chance to build robots of their own using the 3D-printed blocks we made.

Seeing so many curious minds asking questions, trying new things and having fun while learning is exactly why we love doing what we do. Thank you to IA Academy for having us, we hope to see many future engineers and innovators!
