QuTech’s Vivek Sinha will join the panel at tomorrow’s Techcafé on Tour on quantum technology. The Netherlands is very well positioned in this field, with academic leadership and a rapidly growing quantum hardware industry; however, many engineering challenges remain regarding the scalability of this emerging technology.

During the panel, Vivek will be among the experts in quantum computing and communication discussing future challenges and opportunities. Joining him will be Marc Hulzebos of Eurofiber Martijn Krijnen of Demcon and Gustavo Castro do Amaral of TNO

The Techcafés are organised by DSPE, Brainport Industries, and Mikrocentrum, with tomorrow’s edition held in collaboration with Innovation Quarter, Quantum Delft, and Qust.

The café will start at 15:30 and will be followed by a networking session at 17:00. The event will take place at House of Quantum, Electronicaweg 10, Delft.

Registration is free. Find more information and a link to the registration form here: https://mikrocentrum.nl/en/techcafe/

🎵 Have you ever heard a musical improvisation featuring a quantum computer, a flute, and a bass clarinet?

🤯 Discover how QuTech's quantum computing demonstrator, Quantum Inspire, was used to perform the music piece ‘Kwantumwerk’, composed by Eduardo Reck Miranda and performed by Eduardo, Fie Schouten and Carla Rees.

💬 In the video, you'll see interviews with Eduardo, as well as with Vivek Sinha, Quantum Computing Project Manager at QuTech, and Giuseppe Ruggero Di Carlo, Quantum Computing PhD Candidate.

☁️ The performance was part of the Quantum Computing for Industry and Public sector event in Delft, and it was the second time Quantum Inspire, Europe's only freely accessible quantum computer in the cloud, was involved in an art project, after the ‘Quantum Cat’ installation of Jeroen van der Most. We hope that many other art-related collaborations will follow.
