A new R1000E and M1200E combination for Marty Bauleistungen AG in Switzerland.

The setup combines recycling and mixing in a small footprint by stacking the two units. Drilling fluid is first recycled in the R1000E. The M1200E then allows fresh product to be mixed in, bringing the fluid back to the required properties before it returns to the drilling process. Built around Marty’s requirements and practical use in the field.

This young-used M2000E mixing unit is heading to VLST. With only a few operating hours on the clock, it is barely run in and ready to go straight to work. 🎓 Why does a Tonghand operator need certification?

Good equipment is one part of the job. Knowing how to use it properly is just as important. That is why LaValley Industries provides certified operator training. Operators learn how to control and position the tool, make and break connections with controlled torque, use the built-in safety functions and carry out the necessary checks and maintenance.

Craig Larson from LaValley Industries recently came over from the US to Wijk bij Duurstede for another training session in a real time setup. Operators from several drilling companies completed the training and successfully earned their certificates. For European customers, this training can be provided locally through SiteTec. Several of our specialists are certified by LaValley Industries to train operators, so crews can learn to work with the Tonghand close to home.

Craig’s visit was also a good opportunity to keep that knowledge up to date. Our Tonghand fleet was serviced and updated, while our mechanics and trainers worked alongside him and exchanged technical knowledge.

Before a SiteTec unit reaches the workshop, it has been thought through in detail.

The layout, steps, lights, edges and access points all have a purpose. They come from field experience, jobsite feedback and a clear focus on how crews use the equipment every day. Together with our steel builder CONSMEMA, that practical thinking is translated into a detailed engineering drawing. From there, the steel parts and frame are made, ready for assembly, fitting and testing in our workshop.

Summer holidays are here, and so are we!

While some crews take a well-earned break, HDD work continues across Europe. That means parts, service and practical support still need to be close.

At SiteTec, our workshop remains active. Our 350 m² warehouse is stocked with parts and components, and our team keeps supporting units through maintenance, troubleshooting and overhaul.

⚠️ Prevent damage before it reaches your pump

This charge filter protects the high-pressure pump from stones, bolts, nuts and other unwanted material in the mud flow. Without that extra protection, contamination can cause serious damage to the pump itself or be pushed further towards the drill head, mud motor or reamer.

The filter can be placed inline, so the crew can disconnect the existing hose and connect it straight away, without changing the setup.

The flush connection makes it easy to wash out dirt without removing the filter. And when the filter does need to be opened, the quick-release closure gives fast access. Pressure gauges on both sides help the crew monitor pressure difference and spot contamination build-up in time.
