Today marks International Day for Women in Maritime.

At Sea1, we want to recognize and celebrate the women who contribute to our industry, both at sea and onshore.

The maritime industry depends on skilled people, strong teams and different perspectives.

Today is a good reminder of the importance of visibility, opportunity and continued progress across our sector.

To all women in maritime: thank you for the work you do and the value you bring.

Safety is not a campaign or a single day; it is part of every decision we make at Sea1 Offshore.

At sea and onshore, our operations depend on people who look out for each other, follow procedures, and speak up when something does not feel right.

Days like World Day for Safety and Health at Work highlight the importance of preventing accidents and work-related illness, but the real work happens every day, through small actions and decisions across the organisation.

From planning and preparation to ex*****on onboard, safety is something we build together.

As our HSEQ & Security Director puts it:
“Nothing is more important than safety. We always look out for each other.
We will stop any job or operation if it is unsafe. Stay alert, stay alive, together.”

We will continue to focus on learning, improving, and maintaining a strong safety culture across all our operations.

Welcome to Sea1, Agnete Nilsen

We are pleased to welcome Agnete Nilsen to Sea1 Offshore as our new Legal & Compliance Manager.

Agnete joined the company on April 1st and will play a central role in the continued development of the group. She will be an important advisor and sparring partner to management, contributing across legal, structural and tax related matters throughout the organisation.

With a strong legal background in contracts, insurance, maritime law and international matters, Agnete brings valuable experience and expertise that we are very happy to have on board.

“I was drawn to Sea1 because of its strong position in an international and complex industry. I look forward to contributing to the company’s continued development and working closely with the organisation across legal and compliance matters.”

We are excited to have you with us, Agnete. Welcome to Sea1! ⚓

Sea1 Offshore Officer Conference 2026 🚢

Earlier this spring, we had the pleasure of joining the first round of the Sea1 Offshore Officer Conference.

Two days filled with insight, discussions and valuable conversations across the organisation.

From market outlooks and newbuilds to operations, safety and teamwork, it was great to see such strong engagement across disciplines.

One thing that stood out in the feedback afterwards was how much the conversations between sessions mattered.
Creating space for sharing experiences across vessels and roles is just as important as the presentations themselves.

A big thank you to everyone involved, and to all officers who contributed with openness, insights and great discussions.

Looking forward to round two next week! ⚓

Sea1 Offshore to take over management of ex Maersk Maker – now recruiting ⚓

From April, Sea1 Offshore will take over the technical and commercial management of ex Maersk Maker, a DP2 deep water AHTS vessel of SALT 200 design, built in 2019. The vessel sails under NOR flag and will be renamed upon transfer.

The vessel features hybrid propulsion, 260t bollard pull, strong deck capacity and advanced anchor handling equipment, making her well suited for demanding offshore operations.

As part of the transition, we are now recruiting Norwegian crew for the vessel, including:

• Captain
• Chief Officer / Officers
• Chief Engineer / Engineers
• Electrician
• Bosun and ABs
• Catering personnel

This is an opportunity to join Sea1 Offshore as we expand our operated fleet and prepare the vessel for her next chapter under Sea1 management.

We are happy to welcome 12 new apprentices to Sea1 Offshore!

They recently visited our head office in Kristiansand before heading out to the vessels, where they will spend the next two years gaining practical experience and completing their training to become able seafarers, ship engine mechanics and electricians.

During the visit, they got to know the company better, received useful information about life at sea, and met some of our colleagues from the onshore team.

We are pleased to once again welcome new apprentices to Sea1 Offshore, and to give them a safe and solid start to their maritime careers.

We look forward to following their journey, and to having them on board. Welcome!
