THE BRIEF: Our goal is to install a new kitchen on the lower level of the property, creating a self-contained unit, while transforming the garage on the second level into two bedrooms and adding an extra toilet adjacent to the existing bathroom.

Our wonderful Howick family has three generations living under one roof, a situation that has become a little more challenging as the children grow older. The primary concern? Space. Each generation needs its own little sanctuary for quiet time, privacy, and the freedom to live without feeling disruptive to others.

The answer? Install a second kitchen in the downstairs area for the grandparents where they can be self contained and live independently from the younger family members. Convert the garage that was not being utilised fully into 2 more bedrooms ideal for the children who are craving their own space. And finally convert the family bathroom into a separate bathroom and ensuite for the parents.

Here are some work-in-progress photos! Everyone is eagerly anticipating their new spaces, and in the meantime, they are enjoying watching the renovation unfold.
