Propped up on our stand at the New Zealand Aerospace Summit 2026 will be a full-size Mk2 propeller, taller than a person - bring your tape measure (or just your eyes). And riding shotgun will be the Kea Atmos Mk1, mounted on top of a car. Come see it up close and say hi!

1–2 October at Te Pae Christchurch.

Kea is landing at the New Zealand Aerospace Summit 2026!

True to our name, we're a little curious by nature - so we're planning something for our exhibit this year that's well worth the trip to see up close. Not ready to spill the details just yet, but watch this space. 1–2 October at Te Pae Christchurch.

More room to reach new heights!

Our new 3,265m² Christchurch facility is officially open, bringing aircraft development, manufacturing and Mission Control under one roof.

There’s plenty happening inside already. The Kea Atmos Mk2 is taking shape, and the Canterbury Aerospace Hub is bringing more of the region’s growing aerospace community together.

The opening has attracted plenty of attention across New Zealand media, including 1News, ThreeNews, RNZ, Stuff and Chris Lynch Media.

Carrying payloads to the stratosphere and delivering high-resolution imagery in near real time - that's the capability we've been working toward.

In March, we achieved it.

Working alongside the Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt (DLR), with mission control in Christchurch and payload support live from Germany, the Kea Atmos Mk1 captured detailed imagery from 42,000 feet. A genuine milestone for the Kea team, and a fantastic collaboration between New Zealand and German aerospace.
