Another great project completed for NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi!

We’re proud to share the completion of an important office refurbishment project for the NZTA.

We were approached by NZTA’S Wellington head office and asked if Perkins Construction Ltd could take on the project management of their office refurbishment here in Dunedin. It was a great opportunity for us, and we’re proud to have been trusted to deliver this project.

From coordinating the works and managing the different trades through to bringing the two floors together, this project was all about communication, organisation and a very detailed approach to health and safety which we spent months working on before the project started.

A unique and challenging project at Forsyth Barr House

We were tasked with joining two operational halves of a Dunedin high rise both fully tenanted with just a single vacant floor between them. By strategically removing the remaining concrete floor, we were able to connect the central service shafts and bring the building together as one.

To get the job done, we removed windows to crane materials into the building and helicoptered heat pump units onto the roof.

A huge thank you to Richard and the team at Accurate Cutting Ltd for their expertise and support throughout the process. Their precision and professionalism were key to making this happen.
