This one means a lot to us.
Waghorn Builders is incredibly proud to support the Kaide Hancox Bailey - Annual Memorial Golf Day — a day that’s about more than just golf. It’s about remembering a great young man and giving back to a cause that genuinely changes lives.
Kaide’s connection to us runs deep. His dad is part of the Waghorn team, and Kaide himself spent time working with us during his school holidays. He was a top kid — respectful, hardworking young man and he was taken too soon. Being able to stand alongside his family and support something in Kaide’s name is something we don’t take lightly.
What makes this even more meaningful is the charity being supported — Cholmondeley
Both Luke and Jake spent time there when they were young, and we know firsthand just how important that support is. It’s not just a place for kids — it’s a lifeline for families going through tough times. It provides stability, care, and space to reset when life gets overwhelming. That kind of support played a big role in our own upbringing and helped shape who we are today.
We’re backing this day to honour Kaide, support his family, and help ensure other Kiwi families can access the same kind of support when they need it most.

Every bit of support counts — whether it’s getting involved directly or simply sharing this post to help spread the word.
Let’s rally behind this, honour Kaide properly, and raise some serious funds for an organisation that makes a real difference.
CHARITY ANNOUNCEMENT 🩵
This year, we’re proud to support Cholmondeley — an organisation making a real difference for tamariki and whānau.
Cholmondeley provides 24/7 respite care for children aged 5–12, along with outdoor activities and learning experiences that build wellbeing, confidence, and resilience 🌿
Their impact goes even further through their Awhi Team — social workers, youth workers, and Whānau Ora Navigators who support whānau in their own homes.
It costs nearly $3 million a year to keep this vital service running. With only 20% funded by the Government, the remaining 80% relies on community support — including events like ours KHB Annual Memorial Golf Day ⛳️🏌️
We’re honoured to get behind this charity and help make a difference 🙌
