Interior selections - In this Manly Build it was all about continuity. The light, warm kitchen backsplash tile continues into the laundry, while dark joinery and sink + tapware reference the home's striking exterior. A consistent paint palette and warm-toned bathroom tiles are repeated throughout the home, creating a seamless flow that makes each space feel connected.

Like our angle entrance feature wall on our Manly build?

It’s the kind of architectural detail that makes a home unique, and it’s made possible when you work directly with the Architect and Builder from the start.

We enjoy adding artistic flair to our homes, creating details that make them stand out from the rest without blowing the budget.

For the Manly Build bathroom, we opted for a full wet room arrangement as the most efficient use of space, allowing for both a generous shower and bath within a compact footprint.

The shower and bath are zoned at the rear with a frameless glass screen, creating a spacious, open feel while keeping the wet and dry areas practical and functional.

To enhance the sense of space, we selected MC Tiles Vibes 900x900 in Beige. The large-format tile reduces grout lines and visual busyness.

Architecture doesn’t have to be expensive. It just needs to be simple, well considered, and detailed properly.

Our Manly project was an opportunity to put that theory into practice, made even better by having a client who works in the roofing industry.

For the main cladding, we used reverse trapezoidal metal in a matte finish, paired with a vented ridge and wrapped fascia boards. None of these elements are overly expensive, but together they give the home a much more refined, architectural feel.

We then paired the metal with Taiga timber cladding at the lower level and in the areas you interact with most, bringing warmth and natural texture against the darker, more industrial material above.

Simple forms. Beautiful cladding. Considered details. That’s often all it takes.

Meet the team - Jonah Cleminson

Jonah has been an Architectural Graduate with us since 2022. Starting part-time while studying, he joined the team full-time after completing his Master of Architecture in 2024.

A keen learner with a strong interest in design, documentation, and process, Jonah works closely with Architectural Director Dylan, across projects from initial design through to completion. He has quickly become a real weapon when it comes to documentation and continues to build his skills across all stages of the architectural process.

Outside of work, Jonah is considered a coffee connoisseur among peers, enjoys 4WD off-roading, hiking, and is well known for his somewhat questionable fashion choices.

Jonah is currently nearing the end of a European adventure with his partner Mia, which the rest of the team is not jealous about at all...

Building with confidence starts with knowing what to expect. At Series Homes, we believe cost transparency is just as important as great design. That's why we offer fixed-price contracts, giving you clarity around your investment and confidence throughout your building journey.

Our pre-designed homes, together with recently completed projects, provide a useful benchmark for what homes of a similar scale, specification and character cost to build. Every site is different, so pricing will respond to factors such as site conditions, earthworks, services, design changes etc. which are evaluated early in the process. The aim is to give you a realistic understanding of what's achievable from the outset.

For those looking for something more personalised, we also design bespoke homes shaped around your site, style, and budget. With our Architect and Builder (directors) working together from the beginning, design decisions are considered alongside their cost implications as you go, not priced as an afterthought. This unique, integrated approach allows us to manage the budget as the design develops.

Good architecture doesn’t need to come with an unrealistic price tag. We deliberately remain a small, efficient practice and take on a limited number of projects each year. This allows us to focus on delivering architecturally designed homes with a higher level of specification, while keeping our pricing competitive. Our efficiencies are in the way we operate, so we can shift the value to the quality of your home.

Whether you choose one of our pre-designed homes or go bespoke, our objective remains the same: Deliver a series of thoughtful architectural homes, with quality construction, for a home you’ll love living in.

Manly Project: With the exterior defined by dark, moody cladding, the interior palette was designed to carry this material language through while maintaining a sense of warmth and light.

At the heart of the home, the kitchen creates a strong connection between inside and out. Dark cabinetry draws from the tones of the exterior cladding, balanced by lighter timber flooring and a soft beige tiled splashback. Together, these materials create a warm, refined palette and a seamless transition between the architecture and interior.

At Series Homes, material selection is guided by a balance of performance, longevity and architectural character.

Cedar has long been part of that palette, valued for its refined grain and natural durability. As material costs have shifted, we’ve evolved our approach - introducing TMT Taiga, a thermally modified timber that offers excellent stability and a similarly warm, considered aesthetic at a more accessible cost.

The result retains the architectural clarity and natural warmth we value, with a little more variation and character expressed through the grain.
