June's here. The ground's already softening up.

This is the time of year when poor drainage stops being an inconvenience and starts costing real money: damaged driveways, boggy paddocks, water sitting where it shouldn't.

The thing is, drainage issues don't appear overnight. They've usually been building for a season or two. Winter just makes them obvious.

If you've noticed water pooling on your property after rain, or areas that stay soft long after the weather clears that's worth looking at before it gets worse.

Good progress underway at Cheshire Place.

This one’s in the early stages, getting the site prepared properly before the build begins. On a sloping section like this, the first step is cutting a clean, level platform and making sure access and drainage are sorted from the outset.

There’s a bit more to it than moving dirt around. Site safety, sediment control, levels, and future access all need to be considered before anything else goes in.

Taking the time to get the groundwork right now saves a lot of headaches later on.

If you’ve got a new build, retaining, site cut, or access work coming up, now’s a good time to get it moving before the wetter months set in.
