Recognise the following, but check out the underlining facts, as they will assist you with your own child safe home pool decision!
Child home pool drownings are rising — now averaging 5.6 children every year. DrownbaseNZ no longer reports the contributing causes, but historic data shows the same pattern we’ve seen for decades: unsupervised access from the house to the pool is the critical risk.
And here’s the fact that matters most:
👉 In 21 years, there has never been a single child drowning in a home pool protected by a Swish modified door-set.
Yet some BCAs still push factually unsupported interpretations of Parliament’s 2017 legislation — breaching Sections 18 & 19 of the Building Act and misleading homeowners into thinking fencing between house and pool is the only option.
Swish continues to stand for legislative truth, homeowner choice, and child safety. Discover this for yourselves at www.swishautomation.com & visit the Swish in Brief page
