Meet the ram’s heads made for tending the fire. 🔥🐏

Our Merino Ram’s Head and Wiltshire Ram’s Head fire pokers are hand-forged from steel, combining practical functionality with sculptural detail.

🐏 Merino Ram’s Head is inspired by the Merino sheep of Central Otago, with distinctive curly horns and intricate swirl detailing.

There’s nothing better than seeing our work installed in its new home. ❤️

We recently supplied these custom laser-cut steel panels for a customer’s fireplace, which they installed behind their woodburner, and we love how they’ve transformed the space.

Sometimes you need a person in the picture to really appreciate the scale. 🦅

Meet Eminence 003, one of our striking kārearea (New Zealand falcon) sculptures, and part of our Eminence collection available for purchase.

Standing at almost 2.8 metres high, this magnificent bird is crafted from sealed corten steel and natural stainless steel, perched on a twisting tree branch that adds to its sense of height and presence.

Photos don’t always capture the sheer scale of a large sculpture, so here’s Jen, the co-owner of Metalworks Wanaka, standing alongside Eminence 003 to give you a better idea of just how impressive this piece is.

A frosty morning at Metalworks Wanaka ❄️🦅

Our kārearea (falcon) sculptures looked pretty magical dusted in frost beneath a beautiful blue Wānaka sky.

We’re honoured and privileged to have been part of such a special commemoration. Congratulations Val, and thank you Forsyth Barr for trusting us to create these special artworks. We hope they're enjoyed for decades to come. We truly love working with these beautiful natural beings as inspiration, as the albatross is such a magnificent subject to capture in metal.

Piece by piece, our Bald Eagle sculpture is coming to life. 🦅🇺🇸

We’re getting very close to the finish line on this special sculpture, with the final details now coming together in the workshop.

Here’s a little behind-the-scenes look at the progress so far. From the initial design to shaping feathers, and adding the finishing touches, it’s been incredible to watch this magnificent bird take shape.

Plans are already underway for its journey to the United States. Keep an eye out for the final reveal coming soon!

Eminence 002 looks out over Lake Wānaka, beneath the inversion layer. 🦅

Our second Eminence sculpture captures the distinctive character of Aotearoa’s New Zealand falcon, kārearea, in a powerful yet poised stance.

Standing 2.1 metres high, Eminence 002 combines sealed corten steel with natural stainless steel, perched upon a tree stump plinth. From the intricate feathering to the powerful talons, every element has been carefully considered to reflect the anatomy and presence of this remarkable bird.

Designed for either indoor or outdoor display, this is a substantial piece of handcrafted art made to become a focal point wherever it finds its home.

With its own unique pose and character, Eminence 002 is ready for its forever home.
