We’re honoured to be featured by Business Kāpiti in their latest business spotlight.

When David and Samantha launched Insitu Building Co. Limited in March 2020, they could never have predicted the challenges that lay ahead. New Zealand was entering its first nationwide lockdown, construction sites were closed, and uncertainty loomed large.

But where many saw risk, the couple saw opportunity. With David’s extensive experience as a builder and Sam’s background in property management, the pair combined their skills to create a business built on integrity, craftsmanship, and genuine care for their clients.

What began as a partial reclad in Thorndon quickly turned into much more when we uncovered extensive rot behind the cladding.

Over the past year, this project grew into a full extension and renovation, transforming the home into what you see today.

The work included:
🛠 Removing and replacing rotten framing
🛠 New windows throughout
🛠 Extended living area
🛠 Full interior + exterior repaint
🛠 New deck and modern landscaping

It was a mammoth task, and navigating the red tape and challenges meant it took more than a year to complete. But the result speaks for itself, a transformation truly worth the journey.
