We were thrilled to have come away from the 2023 Timber Design Awards last week with a highly commended for our Brooklyn Te Whare-iti project! There was a fantastic range of incredible timber projects on display, it is truly wonderful to see the innovation within the construction sector that is taking place across Aotearoa.

From the judges:

"Te Whare-iti ingeniously blends modular prefabrication techniques with the structural and aesthetic virtues of Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT), presenting a construction method that mitigates the difficulties of building in poorly accessible locations. Leveraging the panellised nature of CLT and the adaptability and scalability of modular construction, Te Whare-iti offers a potential solution for addressing housing affordability without discounting indoor living quality and well-being."
