Been tickling away on Electric Ave . Reshaping, de-rutting, drain piping and re-swaling. Also please don't be one of those dicks that goes past the super obvious signs, cos I don't care if you hurt yourself, but I don't want RSI from doing the paperwork when you do. Please wait, don't be selfish.

Freewheel stage 1 and 2 are essentially finished. There's still a few haircuts to make as the bush re-settles etc, but there is still a few very soft spots. Especially where some Dear have had a dance party near the top. The weather has been surprisingly challenging as we seem to average 2.5 days between rains. 2 weeks ago these corners were nearly perfect, then a Dear dance party and some rain..... and poggy pooey mess!! So please keep off and pray for some wind and sun. And if someone finds some tension....

In spite of some less than stellar weather this week, progress has been made on freewheel. Uphill hath been scraped and reshaped to the summit. And into the descent we've charged.
But don't be one of those dicks that just has to check it out. Because of rhe weather the top inch is still super soft (don't worry underneath is solid as) and any du***ss riding or even walking it will churn it up and it WILL take longer to dry for me to compact after I've shaped your tire and footprints out. Wait to unwrap ya presents!

Been head down tail up, machining out laps of gravel on Clinical for the last month or so. Some 160+ laps later....all done, open and ready for the winters and rain to come.
Then a quick smash of a gravel pile in Makara, and then a few days in Houghton Bay on the Southern walkway on a 5ton machine. There was quite a steep and rutted out section that had claimed a few victims. Carved down and shaped some water controls. Fine layer of dust on top but bomber underneath. Then moving big rocks with the 5ton down at Waitaha cove carpark making things look pretty. as

More Hawt work. Rock hunting, rock breaking, rock stacking. A seep that appears on a high point was seeping across this intersection. Carved out the wall and placed a capture drain to direct the water . Stacked up a wall to lose the big slippery step up on to the top of John's tracks.
And then stuffed pollen up my nose by ripping it apart with a weedeater.
