Last Thursday two of our Leaders from NZS Group, Vadim Spice and Chris Warren, hosted a day long training session for our key safety leaders. This was a Leadership session focused on Safety, Quality & performance. We spent the day discussing our shared company values and policies, and talked about different challenges we face day to day and new ideas to help us all improve.

As a group we are always working to improve our Safety culture, having honest conversations about our different struggles and successes is a huge privilege that opens the door to so many different ideas & perspectives which only strengthens our safety culture across the board.

A huge thank you to Vadim, Chris, and Srishty for running this awesome day, we are all looking forward to learning even more at the next one!

On Tuesday night this week at the NZ Events Association awards evening, GM of EPIC! Event Structures Chris Gillon accepted the ‘Supplier of the year’ award for the outstanding Te Matatini project that took place earlier this year at the Bowl of Brooklands.

Te Matatini is a hugely important cultural festival for New Zealand. One we are proud to have been involved in since 2019.

In February this year the fabulous event took place, there was a lot of hard Mahi to get the complex stages & structures put together, but all was delivered on time and to a high quality by the team comprising specialists from throughout NZS group.

The project was a huge success with over 70,000 attendees & a record breaking 2.5million viewers on TV and online.

This event truly showcased the brilliance in all areas of our expertise across NZS Group, and exactly what we can create and achieve as a collective.

A huge congratulations and thanks to every one who had a hand in this amazing Event!

And a massive thanks to the Team at Te Matatini Society for trusting us and being so great to work with 🧡

Geeves Wellington celebrating Philippine Independence Day !

Last Friday our Pare's put on a magificent spread and gave us the honor of joining them in celebrating Philippines Independance day. Sharing food is a big part of the Phillipines culture & we are very grateful to have shared this special occasion with our boys 💛

Through a partnership with Taki Rua, Geeves Wellington has constructed the scaffolding for the 'Hatupatu | Kurungaituku: A Forbidden Love' show, which will embark on a nationwide tour in early 2024. While the scaffolding design and ex*****on presented unique challenges, we have successfully completed the first one and eagerly anticipate the next four.

Three of Summerset’s blocks were handed over recently. These blocks are the first in a series of retirement homes that will house future Wellingtonians, and the finished product looks stunning!

This is thanks, in no small part, to our team based at Summerset, led by Manu Afoa. Manu has taken over running this site, and is doing a brilliant job. Already a technically brilliant Leading Hand, Manu is now taking the next step in his career by organizing and coordinating all aspects of the site. Manu’s clear comms, approachability, and ability to problem solve and work together with the other trades on site have fostered a really good relationship with our client, who could not be happier with our work.

Well done Manu, and the team, for your great work and excellent service!
