Sliding into the long weekend like... 😎

A quick heads up - we’ll be closed on Monday for Labour Day. Back on Tuesday as usual.

Labour Weekend is usually when a lot of us *finally* get around to those jobs we’ve been putting off. If spring cleaning your heating and cooling is on your to-do list, here are a few quick things worth checking off:

✅ Clean your heat pump filters
✅ Test your cooling mode ahead of summer
✅ Check your outdoor unit is clear of debris
✅ Wipe down the indoor unit casing
✅ Make sure your remote time is correct (yip, we know there's still a few of you who haven't updated this since the clock sprung forward)

You’ve met Kayla, Lucia and Adam. Next up in our team series - Tanisha.

Tanisha worked her way up from apprentice to management in the HVAC/R industry - so she understands the work from every angle. As our Operations Manager, her focus is on the relationships that keep everything running smoothly - with our customers, our suppliers and our team.

We feel very lucky to have Tanisha as part of the Wasabi team.

A huge congratulations to George on completing his apprenticeship.

This one means a lot to the whole Wasabi team. Stef has always believed in investing in the next generation of qualified technicians - and watching George reach this milestone is exactly what that’s all about.

Having a skilled, NZ-qualified crew isn’t just something we talk about. It’s something we actively work towards. We look forward to watching George grow his skills and become a specialist in the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning industry.

Spring is well underway - and if Wellington and Wairarapa decides to behave, summer is hopefully coming.

Most of us spend winter thinking about heating. But this time of year is actually the perfect time to make sure your heat pump is ready to cool things down too.

A quick checklist before the warm weather hits 👇

✅ Clean your filters if you haven’t already.

✅ Test your cooling mode - don’t wait until the first hot day to find out something’s not right.

✅ Check your outdoor unit is clear of any winter debris.

✅ Make sure your remote is set to the right mode (and the right time if you haven't updated it since the clock sprang forward).

If your system hasn’t been serviced in a while or something doesn’t seem right when you test it, better to find out now than on the hottest day of January.

His background spans some of the most demanding environments in the industry - from supermarket refrigeration to critical data centre equipment - and that depth of experience shows in how our service team operates every day.
