I have a very reliable group of subcontractors that cover most of the trades and all who have an eye for detail, which makes a job alot easier to manage. I am a qualified builder and a Licenced Building Practioner (www.dbh.govt.nz/lbp), with 7years experience i love a challen

Incase you’re wondering why the Vulcan screen installed is changing color! WELL LET ME TELL YOU…. Sioo:x Coating which was applied cures by reacting with atmospheric carbon dioxide and moisture to form an insoluble and flexible silica network within the timber surface. The formation of the silica network toughens the surface of the timber and forms an effective barrier against insect attack and rot. It not only protects the timber but as the mineral silicates over time it turns the timber to a weathered silver/grey and the end result over a few months is a screen that is well protected from the harsh Wellington weather and has a beautifully consistent weathered appearance.
