Despite the recent bad weather, the team’s still in good spirits, cracking into this new residential new build.

While this may be a straightforward project for us, it doesn’t change our approach, keeping the details right all the way through.

On large projects like this, coordination is crucial.

With multiple suppliers, transport teams, and contractors involved, there are a lot of moving parts that all need to line up.

By keeping lines of communication clear, it makes sure everyone stays on the same page, so they know where they’re going and what they need to be doing.

We’ve kicked off on an epic new project for Freedom Lifestyle Village, delivering close to a kilometre of retaining walls to terrace the land and create build-ready platforms across their new site.

With multiple truckloads of SED poles coming in, and coordination between suppliers, transport, and the civil team, everything needs to be lined up early to keep things moving.

Living rurally, having power on site is not always a certainty.

But when it comes to building or renovating, there’s always a workaround.

That might involve coordinating with Vector to arrange a builder’s temporary supply, using generators, leveraging cordless tools, or implementing solar battery storage systems.

So it’s not the end of the world if you choose a site without power. It just means there are a few additional steps that need to be taken into account so we can deliver your project properly.

If there’s one thing we always recommend to clients before they even start planning their build, it’s bringing the builder into the process as early as possible.

Having a builder involved from the start helps give a clearer understanding of the project’s feasibility:

What can realistically be achieved on the site?

What constraints might exist?

How can the design be shaped to suit the budget?

These early conversations help avoid designs that are difficult or expensive to construct, and guiding your decisions right from the beginning.

We’re absolutely stoked you’re happy with your new rumpus room, Sarah.

We always enjoy working on projects that make a real difference for the family. Hope you all enjoy the space for years to come.

See Sarah's full testimonial below:

"We got Matt to transform our very basic garage into a rumpus room. We were very impressed with him and how it turned out. He transformed the space from a dingy old garage into a tidy inviting space. Excellent job and very easy to communicate with. Very happy with how it and would definitely recommend."

With so many builders on the market, choosing the right one can feel overwhelming. And even after you decide, it’s normal to second-guess yourself.

Here’s our no-fail checklist to help you choose the right builder for your project:

▪️Experience that matches your build

Every builder has their niche. A team that specialises in inner-city renovations may not be familiar with the regulations and logistics of a rural build. Look for someone who regularly delivers projects similar to yours.

▪️Strong communication from the start

Communication can make or break a project. Pay attention early. How do they explain things? How often will you receive updates? Make sure their style works for you and that expectations are clear from day one.

▪️Clear, detailed pricing

If a quote looks too good to be true, it usually is. Vague pricing can lead to surprises later. You should clearly understand what’s included, what’s excluded, and where your money is going. Transparency upfront builds confidence.

▪️A credible reputation

A builder’s past work and client feedback speak volumes. Ask for testimonials, case studies, or even contact details for recent clients. Check their recent projects and reviews. Do your due diligence.

Choosing the right builder isn’t just about price. It’s about trust, clarity, and knowing your project is in capable hands.

A project isn’t delivered by just one company. It’s a network.

We work with trusted local trade-partners who know our standards and stand by their work. Long-standing relationships mean better communication, faster problem-solving, and projects that run the way they should.
