Come and join the team!
We are on the search for a National Operations Manager to join our EPIC team!
EPIC Event Structures delivers world‑class infrastructure for major events across New Zealand — from the ASB Classic in Auckland, to Supercars in Christchurch, to massive festivals like Rolling Meadows and Electric Ave. We build grandstand seating for thousands, construct stages, audience platforms, and the structures that make unforgettable moments possible.
We’re looking for an Operations Manager who is methodical, calm under pressure, and energised by fast turnarounds and complex logistics. Someone who can plan, lead, adapt, and build trusted relationships — not just supply equipment.
About the Role
This role suits someone who enjoys both big‑picture thinking and hands‑on operational detail.
Key Responsibilities
-Event planning: develop operational plans, schedules, and resource allocations for events of all sizes.
-Client coordination: build strong relationships, understand changing needs, and act as a trusted delivery partner.
-On-site leadership: oversee crews, subcontractors, and logistics during builds and pack‑downs.
-Infrastructure delivery: manage the installation of grandstands, stages, platforms, and temporary structures.
-Health & Safety: ensure all work meets safety standards and compliance requirements.
-Continuous improvement: refine processes, improve efficiency, and uphold EPIC’s reputation for excellence.
What You Bring
-Operational planning skills: methodical, structured, and able to turn vision into executable plans.
-Adaptability: comfortable with shifting priorities, tight timelines, and event‑week intensity.
-Client confidence: able to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and build trust.
-Leadership: capable of guiding teams, solving problems on the fly, and keeping everyone aligned.
-Industry mindset: passion for events, production, and delivering experiences that matter.
-Experience in events, construction, or scaffolding will be helpful.
