✨ What an incredible two days (5-6th August) at the Sepik River Arts and Crocodile Festival in Ambunti!

From breathtaking cultural performances to meaningful conversations with community members and students, the festival was a wonderful celebration of Sepik culture and identity.

Our team enjoyed meeting visitors at the FRL Tent and answering questions about the Frieda River Copper-Gold Project, particularly around biodiversity, environmental management, the proposed dam, and the project's economic opportunities and challenges.

A special thank you to the students from Ambunti Secondary School who stopped by with thoughtful and engaging questions.

Thank you to everyone who visited us during the festival. We are proud supporters of SRCAF and look forward to being part of this important celebration of culture and community for many years to come.

📌 Tue 14/07/26 | Day 2 Highlight | PNG Resources Week 2026

Day 2 of PNG Resources Week saw strong engagement at the FRL booth, with visitors keen to learn more about the Frieda River Project and our approach to delivering long-term benefits through shared-use infrastructure and responsible development.

A key highlight was Project Director Phil McCormack's participation in the ICT & Digital Transformation session, where he discussed how the Frieda River Project is leveraging a combination of fibre, microwave and satellite technologies to improve connectivity in remote regions and support future development.

Phil also shared FRL's vision for shared-use infrastructure, including power, communications and transport networks that can benefit communities beyond the project's footprint.

The positive feedback and conversations throughout the day reinforced the growing interest in how infrastructure, technology and collaboration can help unlock opportunities for Papua New Guinea's future.

Thank you to everyone who visited the FRL booth and joined the discussion last week Tuesday.

A successful first day at PNG Resources Week for the FRL team at the PNG Resources Week yesterday. 👏

Our More Than Just Mining booth welcomed strong engagement from attendees, with many visitors stopping by to learn more about Frieda River Limited and the Sepik Development Project. The most frequently asked questions were: Who is FRL? and What is the Frieda River Project all about?

We appreciated the opportunity to connect with industry colleagues and stakeholders, sharing how FRL is working to create long-term value through responsible development, community partnerships, environmental stewardship and local participation.

A highlight of the day was Project Director Philip McCormack's presentation during Session 3B: Security in Resources, where he spoke on "Protecting the Sepik: Building Trust Through a No Riverine Disposal Commitment." Phil highlighted how modern resource project security extends beyond physical assets to include environmental stewardship, community trust and social licence, and how FRL's commitment to protecting the Sepik River ecosystem contributes to long-term project resilience and stakeholder confidence.

Thank you to everyone who visited our booth yesterday. We look forward to more great conversations throughout today and throughout the week.
