MECHANICS OF GAMES OF THE GENERALS:
• The game is open to all students of STI College Fairview (SHS).
• Each section must have one (1) representative to play for their section.
• The game is played by two players per match.
• Players take turns moving one piece per turn.
• A facilitator will supervise each match and enforce the rules.

RULES OF CHESS:

Movement Rules:
King: One square in any direction.
Queen: Any number of squares horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.
Rook: Any number of squares horizontally or vertically.
Bishop: Any number of squares diagonally.
Knight: Moves in an 'L-shape': two squares in one cardinal direction and one square perpendicularly. It is the only piece that can jump over others.
Pawn: Moves forward one square (or two on its first move), captures diagonally forward.

Special Moves:
Castling: A move involving the King and a Rook, used to protect the King.
Promotion: A pawn that reaches the opposite end of the board can become a Queen, Rook, Bishop, or Knight.
En Passant: A special pawn capture rule.

Game Rules:
Check/Checkmate: If the king is under attack, it is "in check" and must move out of it immediately. Checkmate ends the game.

Touch-Move Rule: If a piece is touched, it must be moved if a legal move exists.
Clock Usage: In competitive, timed games, players must make moves within a set limit, or they lose (flagging).

• The top 1 winner per grade level will proceed to the final round.
• The final round will be a round robin and the category is integer.

GAME SETUP:
• Participants: Two players face off in each match.
• Platform: A designated Tetris platform that supports 1v1 battle mode (e.g., Tetris Effect: Connected, Tetr.io, Puyo Puyo Tetris).
• Match Duration:
• Time-limited matches (e.g., 3–5 minutes), or
• Survival matches where the game ends when one player's board is filled.
• Game Speed:
• Start at a moderate speed and increase gradually as the match progresses.

MECHANICS OF SUDOKU
• Each section must have one (1) participant only. (Open for all)
• There will be an elimination round per grade level.
Difficulty and time allotted:
• EASY - 20 minutes
• MODERATE – 30 minutes
• DIFFICULT – 45 minutes
• Each Sudoku Puzzle will be given by the facilitator during the event.
• The scoring of the participants will be based on the total scores of the EASY, MEDIUM, AND HARD Levels. In case there are tie scores, the shortest time for the 3 rounds will be considered.
• The top 5 winners per grade level will proceed to the final round.
• Winners for the final round will be based on the total scores and shortest time.
