On June 3rd, we were in Ávila for a specialized technical session focused on a defining moment in winemaking: “Cork stopper: the final oenological decision.”
Bringing together a group of professionals from across the wine sector, our R&D Director, Miguel Cabral, shared essential insights on how the choice of closure directly influences a wine’s evolution, integrity, and journey inside the bottle.
The session moved from theory to practice with a guided comparative tasting, allowing participants to experience firsthand the structural and sensory impact of different cork closures in the glass.
The day concluded with a wonderful lunch at Restaurante Vereda and great insights. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this another valuable exchange around enological excellence.
