⚡ В мае приняли участие в региональном этапе Всероссийского конкурса профессионального мастерства «Лучший по профессии ХМАО–Югра» в г. Советский.

На площадке мероприятия был организован выставочный стенд СКБ ЭП, где мы представили приборы для диагностики и испытаний электрооборудования 🔧

Гости и участники конкурса активно интересовались оборудованием, знакомились с его возможностями и задавали вопросы нашему специалисту 📟

Для многих посетителей это стало первым знакомством с современными решениями в области диагностики высоковольтного оборудования, а для нас — отличной возможностью пообщаться с действующими специалистами отрасли и обменяться опытом.

Также удалось обсудить с представителями образовательных учреждений перспективы проведения лабораторных работ, практических занятий и обучающих встреч для студентов 🎓

Благодарим организаторов за приглашение и возможность представить продукцию СКБ ЭП на таком значимом профессиональном мероприятии 🤝

Last month, we talked about SKB EP’s early developments and how a small research division became one of the leading manufacturers of diagnostic equipment for the power industry 📖⚙️

Today, we'll take a look at one of the company's most popular product lines: the MIKO micro-ohmmeters⚡

The story of MIKO began in 2001 with the first MIKO-1 micro-ohmmeter. Even back then, the device helped specialists quickly check the condition of high-voltage equipment contacts. MIKO-2 and MIKO-2.2 were the next steps in developing the series 🚀

The MIKO-2.3 was a real breakthrough. It weighed just 2.7 kg, produced a current of up to 1,000 A, and was powered by a condenser battery. Compared to its foreign counterparts, it offered an impressive combination of power, mobility and accuracy 🔥

Today, the MIKO-21 carries on the series’ legacy – a modern high-precision micro-ohmmeter designed for the most accurate diagnostics of power equipment 🎯

Technologies evolve and new possibilities emerge, but MIKO’s philosophy remains the same: providing convenience, power, and precision in every measurement 💙

How can we make it easier and safer to do complicated OLTC diagnostics? ⚡️ Modern solutions consider the actual working conditions.

For example, devices’ design allows for operation without completely draining the oil, and special contact probes simplify connection. Additionally, the need for physical contact with components inside the tank is reduced.

This offers several advantages at once:
✔️ Reduced work time
✔️ Increased safety
✔️ Lower labor costs
As a result, even intrusive diagnostics become more efficient and predictable.
But the main question remains: which method should you choose in a specific situation?

Last month, we looked back at the company’s early days – how it all began with a team of just four people 💭

Today, we're going to talk about the most exciting part: our first developments and instruments ⚙️
One of our first projects was a Hydraulic Unit Thermal Control System. At the time, the company was still figuring out its direction.
📍 1991 – a true technological breakthrough with the release of the predecessor to the entire PKV series – the PKHV-01!
Before, power companies often used manual tools like rulers and pencils to do diagnostics. The PKHV-01 changed the approach: precise measurements, convenience, and a whole new level of control ⚡
Further development proceeded quickly:
📍 1993 – releasing the first mass-produced PKV/M1 device for oil circuit breakers.
📍 1994 – producing devices for air circuit breakers, the PKV/V1 and PKV/V2.
📍 Mid-90s – launching a whole line of PKV solutions for monitoring various high-voltage circuit breakers.

Importantly, nearly every model was improved and became the basis for the next version.
By the late 1990s and early 2000s, the company took a major leap forward 🚀
The PKV/M5N and PKV/M5A were introduced. These devices became very popular in the Russian market and in neighboring countries.
At the same time, the development of the MIKO-1 micro-ohmmeter began – a solution that took contact resistance measurement to a new level of precision.

Next came the universal devices: the PKV/U1 and PKV/U2 worked with various types of circuit breakers, which made the work of specialists much easier 🔧

Step by step, the company’s development approach took shape – from the first specialized solutions to universal instruments. The company continues to follow this strategy today.

When Disassembly Is Necessary

Non-intrusive diagnostics is fast. But is it always enough? ⚡️

If you want to evaluate the overall condition, DRM is the best option.
But when you need to find the exact place where a problem is, intrusive diagnostics is the best option.
What it does:
— provides direct access to the contact system
— allows for precise measurement of each component
— locates the specific fault

Yes, it’s a more complex process: it requires opening the tank, preparing equipment, and following additional safety precautions. Nevertheless, this approach enables us to make definitive technical decisions.

The good news is that today, this type of diagnostics can be performed more easily and safely.
