🤔 Why do Arginex treated vegetables taste better than those without?

🧪Here’s the science-backed answer 🧪
Arginex improves taste in vegetables through several interconnected mechanisms:

🥬 Sugar and Brix content
Arginine (Arginex’s active compound) supports improved nitrogen metabolism, which frees up more carbohydrates for sugar accumulation rather than protein synthesis. Higher Brix = sweeter, better-tasting produce.

🥬 Cell structure and texture
Better root zone nutrient uptake leads to more uniform cell development. Firmer, more consistent flesh texture is perceived as higher quality and freshness.

🥬 Reduced nitrate accumulation
Conventional high-nitrogen fertilization often leaves residual nitrates in plant tissue, which can cause bitterness (especially in leafy greens like spinach and lettuce). Arginex’s efficiency means plants use nitrogen more completely, leaving less residual nitrate.

🥬 Stress reduction
Plants under nutrient or root zone stress produce more stress compounds (like glucosinolates in brassicas) that can taste harsh or bitter. Healthier root zones mean less stress chemistry in the edible tissue.

🥬 Mineral balance
Improved uptake of micronutrients like calcium and magnesium supports better flavor compound development — including the Maillard precursors that make roasted or cooked vegetables taste richer.

Taste the difference.

The best of both worlds.

Organo-mineral isn't a new idea. Growers have been blending mineral and organic inputs for years, looking for the best of both.

What's been missing is consistency. Compost and manure bring real benefits to roots and soil microbes -but composition varies, and uptake is hard to predict. Mineral nitrogen is precise and fast, but tough on soil life and prone to leaching.

Arginex closes that gap. Built on L-arginine: a single molecule, engineered with precision. Defined performance you can plan around. Root and soil benefits that build season after season.

A decade of research. 70+ patents. Proven in the field across crops, climates, and geographies. Precise, predictable nutrition that works with the soil, not against it.

Arginex is the sweet spot.

No filtered nor edits necessary 🎨

Here you see turnips grown in different growing media and treatment:

1. Peat-free substrate only
2. Peat-free substrate treated with Arginex
3. Peat-based substrate

🥕 See it for yourself at GreenTech 2026 in Amsterdam at the Arevo booth 05.530.

We asked ourselves a simple question: should vegetables grown with Arginex actually taste better?

So our wonderful colleague Sarah Lundgren organized a blind taste test at the office today. Four foods - salad, turnip, root chips, and turnip greens. Some treated with Arginex. Some with conventional mineral fertilizer. Some with nothing at all.

The results? Every single preferred serving was Arginex-treated. Every one!!!!!!

🥦So why does food taste better when treated with Arginex?

Here’s the science behind why that makes sense: amino acid nitrogen means less energy wasted on conversion, more carbohydrates staying in the plant, lower nitrate accumulation, and stronger roots pulling in a fuller mineral profile.

Better nutrition in. Better flavour out! ❤️

Root Change won! The Disruptor of the Year is Arevo 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆

Thank you Marknadsföreningen Sverige for recognizing the science, the business and most of all, the courage the team show at work every day to ensure we can grow food with less.

Arginex is designed to combine the best of worlds, containing amino acids and fertilizer ingredients, and our 60+ trials across 15+ countries have shown that Arginex not only increase yields with high predictability but also with minimal negative impact on the planet.

We believe in changing the way we grow food from the ground up, from where it begins at the roots, while never losing sight on the pocket and the planet 🌍💰
