My mom called at 7:30 this morning saying her water heater had a leak at 12:00 am last night and had stayed up all night with a mop and putting down towels instead of calling me that late so I had to replace the water heater with all new pex pipe. The 28 gallon water heater that my dad had installed had a date on it and it was 9/27/1983 before I was born so I think it was time to change out but they don’t make water heaters like they use to…but when your almost 80 years old you don’t know how to just turn valve of cold water she thought she had to go in basement and turn the well off to stop the water but I got it fixed up with all new pex pipe!!!!
