It's with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Jim Wood, a Project Manager in our DFH division. Jim joined the J&R team just over a year ago, but he made his mark fast, with a sense of humor that kept the whole crew laughing.

Our thoughts are with Jim's family during this incredibly difficult time. In true Jim fashion, they're celebrating his life the way he'd have wanted: a Celebration of Life this Thursday, September 3rd, from 3-8 PM at 5391 Crittenden Road, Akron, NY 14001. All who knew Jim are welcome to join and share in remembering him.

For anyone who would like to show support for Jim's family, his daughter Maria has made her Venmo available, -Wood-223.

Rest easy, Jim. You'll be very missed. 🤍

Here's why we were really back at the Trico Building Apartments. 😎 Big congrats to Bob Molnar from The Krog Group, our cooler winner from the OHD event! 🎉

We loaded up the cooler and hand-delivered it, which felt pretty full circle since we teamed up with The Krog Group to complete these apartments last fall.

Good people, good project, and now a good cooler to show for it. 🧊 Thanks for coming out to the event, Bob. Enjoy it!

A blast from the past. ⏪

A few of us swung back through the Trico Building Apartments recently and it hit us all over again just how cool this project was. If you know Buffalo history, you know Trico. This is the plant where they cranked out windshield wipers for decades, and now it's some of the sharpest apartment living in the city.

We teamed up with The Krog Group last fall to help bring these apartments to life, leaving our mark all over this one, from signage, mailboxes, bath accessories, storage lockers, bike racks, and even the roll-out mats greeting you at the entry. Old bones, new life, still one of our favorites. 🏭

Best. Company picnic. Ever. 🦙🐂🦓 From a few curious animals stopping by to say hello, to a longhorn steer casually strolling right up to the bus, it was a pretty unforgettable Friday.

The team headed out to Hidden Valley Animal Adventure in Varysburg. 63 acres, 350+ animals, and a whole lot of us leaning out with feed cups in hand. Days like this remind us why we love working together.

Turns out, opening our doors was a pretty good idea. 👏

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for “Open Doors” yesterday. We loved getting the chance to connect with contractors, architects, developers, and partners, show off our Overhead Door Division, and talk shop with some of the best people in the industry.

Special thanks to our vendors, Dynaco, Nordock, Albany, Fire Curtain Technologies, and TKO Doors, for being part of the day and sharing their expertise.

And of course, shoutout to Verno On The Roll for keeping everyone fed. 🌭

The finishing touches may be the last thing installed, but they’re often the first thing people use. 🇺🇸

Our Specialties team recently wrapped up work at the Olean VA, with Wes, Alex, and Harley handling the installation of privacy curtains, lockers, restroom accessories, and other essential finishes throughout the facility.

From patient spaces to staff areas, every piece was selected and installed to create a space that is functional, durable, and welcoming for the veterans and healthcare professionals who use it every day.

Great work, team. 👏
