The countdown to a milestone is officially on. By the end of this October, the doors to the very first Not Alone First-Stop Home should be open, transforming a vision into a physical, welcoming reality for children stepping into the foster care system during their most vulnerable moments.

Every detail of this space has been intentionally designed around a singular, non-negotiable belief: a child deserves a home on a very difficult day. That is why you will never hear us refer to this space as a "facility." It is a home, complete with a kitchen, living room, visitation space, and remote office built to mirror a normal home just like yours and ours. When children arrive, they should feel warmth, safety, and dignity rather than uncertainty.

Today, we are asking our community to help us bring that home to life.

Take a look at this incredible home transformation we recently completed!

After nearly 30 years since their last remodel, these homeowners were ready for a space that better fit their lifestyle today and for many years to come. Their goal was to create a home that feels more open, welcoming, and functional, especially when family and friends gather together.

From reimagining the layout to updating the finishes, every detail was thoughtfully designed to create a space they'll enjoy for decades to come. Even something as simple as updating the door trim made a noticeable difference, proving that the smallest details can have a big impact.

✨ Transformation Thursday ✨

This bathroom went from outdated and no longer practical to bright, functional, and beautifully accessible. Our goal was to create a space that not only looks fresh and updated but also better serves the homeowner's needs for years to come.

Some of the highlights of this transformation included:
✔️ Raised the ceiling to create a more open, spacious feel
✔️ Expanded the closet for additional storage
✔️ Installed a brand-new walk-in shower for improved accessibility
✔️ Updated the flooring with luxury vinyl plank (LVP)
✔️ Added new mirrors and lighting for a brighter, modern look
✔️ Fresh paint to tie everything together

One of the homeowner's biggest priorities was creating a space that would be easy to maintain with no grout to clean. To achieve that, we installed luxury vinyl plank flooring and used cultured marble for the shower walls, shower floor, and vanity top providing a beautiful, seamless look that's both durable and low-maintenance.
