We’re extremely grateful and excited to share that our team brought home 6 awards at the 2026 NCHBA STARS Awards last night in Charlotte!
Among the honors was the coveted Best One-of-a-Kind Home award for our Bear Flower Retreat, an especially meaningful recognition for a home that represents the craftsmanship, creativity, attention to detail, and collaboration our team strives to bring to every project.
These awards are truly a team accomplishment. From our talented designers and project managers to our carpenters, trade partners, and everyone behind the scenes, each person plays an important role in bringing our clients’ visions to life.

Our owner, Rick Buchanan, recently had the opportunity to travel to Pella, Iowa, for a behind-the-scenes tour of Pella Corporation’s headquarters and manufacturing facilities.

It was an impressive experience seeing firsthand the craftsmanship, technology, and innovation that go into Pella’s window and door products. Their commitment to innovation is remarkable, with advancements that are changing the way windows are designed, operated, and installed.

A few innovations that really stood out were hidden screens on double-hung windows, a sleek slide-bar operator for casements that replaces the traditional crank handle, and Pella’s Steady Set™ installation system, which allows windows to be installed from inside the home, making installation safer, easier, and more efficient.

Equally important is the confidence that comes after installation. Pella offers one of the industry’s strongest warranty programs, reinforcing the quality and long-term performance we want for the homes we build.
