Carved into the mountain. Built to belong to it.

At Osada Construction, some homes are built on a site. This one was built into it.

Cut into the mountainside, this modern custom home is absorbed into the topography around it. A walk-out living roof lets the hillside flow right over the structure, and native grasses and plantings stitch the architecture back into the forest.

Light & views. A minimal-pitch roof with built-in skylights pulls in the sun's warmth. Floor-to-ceiling glass turns the mountain views into the home's main architectural feature, framed by crisp black steel.

The bridge. A suspended glass bridge connects the main living structure to a standalone two-story primary suite. It holds the dining room, so every meal comes with pass-through views of the trees on both sides.

Material honesty. White stucco, glass, steel, and board-form concrete wrap the exterior. That same concrete carries inside, blurring the line between outdoors and in. Dark vertical cladding and a warm wood-slat screen add texture and rhythm to the facade.

Built for gathering. Beneath the bridge, a sheltered courtyard holds outdoor dining, a fire feature, and an outdoor kitchen. Above, a cantilevered covered deck with a suspended fireplace looks out over the ridgeline. A lit concrete stair climbs through the landscape to the living roof above. It's the perfect setting to entertain, unwind, and watch the sun set over the mountains.
