This was the last competition as a coach for me!! I really enjoyed this year and these students!

MIDWEST WELDING COMPETITION

Last Friday, we had ten students compete in the Midwest Welding Competition. Students were able to compete against others from throughout the state and also network with industry partners. This was a great experience for students to grow in their skills.

For you welders looking to up your game and become a CWI, this is the place. I get asked all the time on job sites what it takes to be a CWI how hard is it and what do people need to do. This is the first step . I began by wanting to be a better welder after years of being blah. After the Army I went to Hobart’s 10 month welding program. And followed that up several years later with this prep course. After many long nights of studying and preparation I was able to pass the test on the first time. I owe it all to HIWT!!
