One careful moment can save a life.

As school buses hit the road, remember: the most dangerous time for kids is when they’re getting on or off the bus.
🛑 Stop for red lights.
🚸 Watch for kids.
📏 Stay 10 feet back.
Let’s work together to keep every child safe this school year.

One of the best ways to protect yourself from online scams is by using strong passwords. While many people focus on complexity such as adding symbols, numbers and capital letters, password length is equally important. A longer password or passphrase is harder for cybercriminals to crack. Create memorable phrases made up of several unrelated words, and avoid using personal information like birthdays or pet names. Use a unique password for each account and enable multi-factor authentication when possible.

Pad-mount transformers are a crucial part of the cooperative distribution system that keeps communities safe and reliably powered. By respecting safety rules and maintaining a proper distance, you help protect not only yourself but also your neighbors and local cooperative line workers. A transformer that is easily accessible and in good condition ensures reliable electric service and minimizes the risk of outages or accidents.

Treat every transformer with caution and awareness. When everyone in the community does their part to stay safe around electrical equipment, we all benefit from dependable, uninterrupted power and a safer environment.

Solar energy is a great way to offset your electricity use, but it’s important to understand how it works. ☀️

Since solar panels don’t generate power at night and produce less energy on cloudy days, your home will still rely on electricity from your cooperative during those times. A grid-connected system gives you the best of both worlds: renewable energy when the sun is shining and dependable power whenever you need it.

Have questions about how solar fits into your energy needs? We’re here to help! Providing education and information to help you make the best decisions for you: just one of the many benefits of being an electric cooperative member!
