🚨 Your cold room might be losing efficiency right now — and you wouldn't even know it.

Moisture infiltration and thermal drift are two of the most common — and most overlooked — threats to insulated panel performance. Left unchecked, they quietly drive up your energy bills and shorten the lifespan of your entire facility.

Here are 3 things you can do today to protect your investment:

1️⃣ Manage your door traffic. Open doors are responsible for more than half of your total refrigeration load. Installing vinyl strip curtains during busy periods can dramatically reduce the warm, moist air entering your cold room — and slow down frost buildup on your panels.

2️⃣ Check your seals twice a year. Door sweeps, gaskets, and silicone joints at the floor and ceiling are your first line of defense against v***r intrusion. Once moisture gets into a joint, it freezes, expands, and starts pushing your panels apart from the inside out.

3️⃣ Go beyond air temperature monitoring. Ambient probes don't tell the full story. For more accurate readings, place your temperature loggers in glycol-filled bottles — this matches the thermal mass of your stored products and gives you data you can actually act on.

What looked finished… wasn’t. A large-scale project was brought to our attention for consultation and assistance after things with another company went sideways. Panels installed upside down, no proper freezer floor, and a system that simply couldn’t perform.

We spent 80+ hours reviewing and consulting and walking through what went wrong and provided our expertise what it would actually take to fix it.

Cold storage isn’t the place to cut corners. The margin for error is small, and the cost of getting it wrong is high. Cheap will always come back expensive.
