If this is how you feel in your home, you need to have your A/C checked. Remember though, Central A/C is manufactured to have a 20 degree differential from the outside temperatures. So if your home is holding at 80 degrees and it is 100 degrees outside, it's doing it's job. Close your curtains, turn on your ceiling fans and keep it cool in your home. Please remember, even if your pets go outside, don't leave them out there long. They may just lay down in the grass but it is definately too hot to leave them longer then necessary. If you're in question of how long is too long, stay outside with them and when you can't handle the heat, they probably can't either.

As we move into day 2 of this heat wave, some of you may be experiencing a warmer temperature in your home then you expect. Central Air Conditioning is only able to do so much in these temperatures. Many smaller units are struggling with these temperatures. Condensate lines are clogging and you'll see water leaking out into ceilings and floors.

Annual maintenance performed well help keep your equipment in good working order.

Yesterday we had an emergency install because a customers American standard unit had crapped out on them, we ended up installing a Bosch duel fuel 16 seer heat pump system that provides plenty of heat in NJ down to 35 degrees, than it'll switch over to the 96% efficienct furnace.
