Pioneer and our partner, Mitzi Rossillon, Consulting Archaeologist, are excited to announce the addition of her story “Ammonium Nitrate Fuel Oil Plant” to the Story of Butte website. Pioneer recently played an integral role in earning one of our clients the 2026 Tandem Global Mammals Project Award for our continued work at Opportunity Ponds. A former tailings impoundment, the Ponds are now capped with grassland and are a thriving habitat for diverse wildlife. Our team has spent the last five years monitoring the site's mammals, including elk, antelope, white-tailed and mule deer, and coyote. We are so proud of our team's incredible work and commitment to this project—congratulations on this achievement!
