Tennoca Construction Company (TNNC) is offering a great opportunity for a heavy equipment maintenance assistant to join a hardworking, team-oriented crew. TNNC specializes in road and highway construction, utility work, and site preparation. TNNC is a local family-owned business established in 1978 and is one of the most respected construction companies in Asheville, North Carolina. TNNC is based at 1575 Smoky Park Hwy. Candler, NC. Tennoca Construction currently owns and maintains an inventory of approximately 250 pieces of heavy equipment. The fleet consists of a wide variety of construction equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, rock trucks, soil compactors, motor graders, skid steers, etc.

Essential Duties and Requirements:
• Daily communication with supervisor.
• Maintain weekly grease application to the fleet
• Minor fuel and DEF fluid distribution as needed.
• Assist mechanic with major equipment repairs as needed.
• Ability to complete minor mechanical repairs as needed.
• Assist job operations as needed with direction from your supervisor.
• Work independently without supervision.
• Responsible for upkeep on personal maintenance truck and workplace cleanliness.
• Organization, thoroughness, and safety are essential for daily procedures.
• Must be able to kneel, crawl, and lift at least 80 lbs.
• Must be willing/able to work in all weather conditions.
Required Skills
• Must have earned a High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
• Background knowledge of Heavy Equipment, Engine, or Mechanical Repairs is preferred.
• Possess a valid driver’s license, with clean driving record.
• Pass a background check.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• CDL License Preferred
