Cody Fletcher grew up with Kankakee Valley REMC as his family's co-op. This August, he became its director of engineering. ⚡

For years, Jason Hughes thought about becoming a lineman, but he wasn't sure it would ever happen. He spent seven years in construction while supporting three young daughters before he got his start as a groundman in 2015. ⚡

Today, he's an A-lineman at Kankakee Valley REMC, where he leads crews. "I am so passionate about what I do. I enjoy teaching others whenever I can."

Abby Asher went to Purdue to study elementary education. Today, she's senior marketing and communications specialist at Decatur County REMC, and the creator of the Little Crew Club, a national Gold Award winner. ⚡

She joined the co-op in 2012 after attending its Annual Meeting as a member. "Looking back, I'm really glad my path through the cooperative wasn't a straight line."
