SUBSTATION ENGINEER 2

Ready to take the next step in your substation engineering career?

GTR is recruiting a Substation Engineer 2 to develop substation design packages and support construction and commissioning activities for electric utility projects.

What You’ll Do:

Develop one-line/three-line diagrams, layouts, grounding, cable designs, and equipment specifications
Perform key engineering calculations and design evaluations
Coordinate with Civil/Structural and Protection & Control teams
Support construction, commissioning, and pre-energization activities
Help improve design standards and mentor junior engineering staff

What You’ll Bring:

B.S. in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
2+ years of substation engineering, design, or operations experience
EIT certification required
Knowledge of substation equipment, grounding, and clearance fundamentals
AutoCAD, ETAP, or ASPEN experience preferred

Compensation: $90,000–$125,000 annually
